McCownGordon to Start Work on $200M Garmin Campus Expansion
KANSAS CITY, MO McCownGordon Construction, along with design-build partner Gould Evans Associates architects, will begin work on a 720,000-square-foot manufacturing and distribution center expansion on the campus of Garmin Ltd. located near 151st Street and Ridgeview Road in Olathe, Kansas.

McCownGordon has served as construction manager on a variety of key project in the city including the new Olathe West High School, currently under construction, as well as the Olathe Community Center in Stagecoach Park and a variety of projects at Olathe Medical Center including the new Hybrid Electrophysiology Lab addition.
A large portion of this new development will significantly expand manufacturing and research and development efforts for the company's aviation business segment, providing the capacity needed to serve aircraft manufacturers and aircraft owners for decades to come. The expansion effort will include first-class amenities such as a fitness center, cafeteria, and large gathering areas. The campus will feature inviting greenspace amenities as well, including athletic fields and a two-mile outdoor walking trail.
