Columbia Construction Company Promotes Six Employees
NORTH READING, MA Columbia Construction Company announces the promotion of six employees. As the firm celebrates its 90th anniversary this year, company leaders have acknowledged that the firm's ongoing success can be attributed to the continued commitment and dedication to its employees.
Sam Dettore has been promoted to Project Executive. With 30 years of experience in construction, Dettore has served in a leadership capacity for several complex projects for Columbia. His experience includes a significant interior fit-out for Dassault SystÃ¨mes as well as ongoing work for Boston Scientific Corporation. For the past five years, he has served as the firm's point person for Hobbs Brook Development, managing several large, high profile projects for this client. Dettore is well regarded for his exceptional interpersonal skills and problem solving abilities.
David Scott has been promoted to Project Manager. Scott has 15 years of experience in the construction industry, providing construction coordination expertise for a variety of building types. Regarded by his peers as a knowledgeable and organized team member, he is focused on client satisfaction. As an integral part of the Columbia team, Scott has worked on a new office building for FM Global and the fit-out of Dedham Medical Associates. He has also completed multiple projects for Boston Scientific.
Michael Hamill, LEED AP has been promoted to Senior Project Manager. He has more than 20 years of industry experience. Known for his technical knowledge and strong communication skills, he has played a key role on several important projects for the firm. His significant projects include the corporate headquarters expansion for Wayfair, the Laboratory for Ocean Sensors and Observing Systems (LOSOS) at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, and the Subaru of New England Headquarters, currently in construction and pursuing LEED Platinum certification.
Michael Barrett has been promoted to Senior Project Manager. With more than 25 years of experience in construction, Barrett helps Columbia's clients meet accelerated schedules while achieving project goals. He has established a reputation for providing superior attention to detail on all of his projects. For nearly a decade, Barrett has served as Columbia's Client Relationship Manager for The Chiofaro Company, managing fit-outs at One and Two International Place, including The Palm Restaurant.
Rosemary Duffy has been promoted Senior Project Manager. Duffy has 15 years of experience in the construction industry. She has worked on a variety of project types for Columbia and has recently completed several significant high tech projects for corporate clients. Duffy's current assignments include Sonos, Inc. and Potamus Trading. One of the keys to her success is her ability to manage complex project schedules while enhancing value for the client.
Carol Ascolillo has been promoted to Project Engineer. Ascilillo has nearly 20 years of experience in the construction industry, working closely with the firm's teams to review, process and update project documentation. She is recognized within the company for having contributed to the design and implementation of several project management improvement processes. Ascilillo has served on Columbia's Waltham Watch Factory, Dassault SystÃ¨mes and Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics teams among others. Her current projects include 9 Channel Center and 300 Cambridge Street.
