Hallisey Named President of NEITE

GLASTONBURY, CT Joseph Hallisey, a Lead Traffic Engineer in the Glastonbury, Connecticut, office of Parsons Brinckerhoff, has been elected President of the New England Section of the Institute of Transportation Engineers (NEITE).
The Institute of Transportation Engineers is an international educational and scientific association of transportation professionals. Established in 1947, NEITE comprises more than 600 members throughout the six states of New England. Hallisey has been a member of NEITE since 2007 and previously served as Vice President of the organization.
Hallisey has more than 27 years of experience in traffic engineering, civil engineering and surveying. Since joining Parsons Brinckerhoff in 2000, he has been performing traffic engineering and transportation system work throughout Connecticut, including preparing traffic impact studies, conducting capacity analysis, and developing traffic signal plans and estimates. He provided design estimates and specifications for the incident management system for the I-95 New Haven Harbor Corridor Improvement Program ("Q" Bridge) in New Haven, East Haven and Branford, Connecticut. Currently, he is responsible for traffic signalization and design on the Route 34 New Haven Downtown Crossing Project. He also served as the Senior Traffic Engineer for the reconstruction of I-95 over the West River in West Haven/New Haven and previously worked on the traffic design/signalization for 11 Stop and Shop supermarket locations in Connecticut, among other private development work.
