He has been an active Board Member of the (T&DI) group, taking the initiative to enhance the value of the T&DI technical group, which formerly functioned as a networking group for civil engineers. Zimolka's goal was to transform the T&DI group into a resource to provide and host educational technical sessions to advance the engineering community's insight on new means, methods, and practices. As part of this transformation, Zimolka coordinated and hosted the first educational webinar series in the history of BSCES.
