Management Transition Changes at HarMac Rebar & Steel
WEST HARTFORD, CT A.H. Harris President and CEO Kimberly Corwin announces that management transition changes have been formalized at HarMac Rebar & Steel.
Amos Maillett has been promoted to Executive Vice President, Rebar Division, and will oversee operations and personnel for Fryeburg, Maine, and Sayreville, New Jersey. Maillett began his career with HarMac 20 years ago when he started in the fabrication shop. Throughout the years he has been involved in every aspect of the company and has played a key role in their growth.
Brockie Gerry has been promoted to Executive Director, Rebar Division. Gerry will direct operations, purchasing and logistics for both locations. He will continue to work closely with large underground contractors compiling bids and negotiating contracts. Gerry worked for HarMac during breaks while attending Maine Maritime Academy and joined the team full time after graduating in 2001.
The founders of HarMac Rebar and Steel, Gary MacFarlane and Pat Maillett will remain active with the company in new roles. MacFarlane will work in a consultative position as a Heavy Civil Specialist. Maillett will continue to keep his pulse on the industry steel pricing and be in the office, maintaining and building customer relationships in his new role as Rebar Sales.
