Hayatgheybi to Lead Traffic Engineering for â€¨WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff in Connecticut
GLASTONBURY, CT Morteza Hayatgheybi will lead traffic engineering for the Glastonbury, Connecticut, office of WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff, a global engineering and professional services organization. In his new position, Hayatgheybi will manage teams of professionals in traffic planning, engineering and construction, as well as traffic signal systems engineering, on projects throughout Connecticut.
Hayatgheybi has more than 27 years of transportation and traffic engineering experience in both the public and private sectors. Before joining WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff, he served as a Senior Project Manager with a private consulting engineering firm in Connecticut, responsible for managing design of traffic signal systems and intelligent transportation systems. Prior to that role, he served as the City Traffic Engineer for the city of Bridgeport, Connecticut, responsible for oversight of traffic systems and operations and for managing a wide range of transportation and traffic projects.
Hayatgheybi received a master's degree in community and regional planning and a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. He is a member of the International Municipal Signal Association, the Institute of Transportation Engineers and the Intelligent Transportation Society of America, serving on the Connecticut chapter's board of directors.
