STAMFORD, CT Erland Construction recently finished Element One - a six and a half-story, mixed-use residential building in Stamford, Connecticut. The building on Morgan Street contains 175 luxury one-bedroom and-two-bedroom units, loft-style homes with 20-foot ceilings, and apartments on the top and second floor that include private terraces.

"This building is not only attractive because of its unique articulated exterior, but also because of the exceptional details in the design including, oversized windows and eight-foot-tall, three-panel sliding glass doors opening onto "˜Juliet-style' balconies within each apartment," said Dan James, Vice President and General Superintendent for Erland Construction. "Our client set high standards that we met successfully and we are proud to deliver this exceptional project in downtown Stamford."

Five and a half stories of this 220,000-square-foot building are wood-framed and constructed above a steel and concrete podium, allowing for ample parking.  Residents can also access a 4,000-square-foot rooftop deck that offers grilling stations, flat screen TVs, mist-cooling trellises and views of the downtown area.

Each apartment features details unique to the market, such as LED mirrors, glass stall showers, hard wood cabinets with soft-close doors and drawers, and quartz counter tops. Other high-end finishes include large Pella® windows that let in plenty of natural sunlight and sliding glass doors with Hunter Douglas roller shades.

Built adjacent to an active church and in walking distance to downtown restaurants, nightlife and theaters, the site was formerly a paved parking lot.

The apartment complex, designed by Gooding Architecture, LLC of Stamford, was constructed for Element One, LLC of Norwalk, Connecticut, - a partnership of Fuller Development, LLC and Spinnaker Real Estate Partners.
