Skanska Builds Life Sciences Building for University of Washington in Seattle
SEATTLE, WA Skanska has signed a contract with the University of Washington - Seattle, to build the school's new Life Sciences Building and Greenhouse. The contract is worth around $71 million, which will be included in the order bookings for Skanska USA Building for the fourth quarter 2016.
The new seven-story building will include about 16,000 square meters of laboratory space and classrooms. Additionally, Skanska will construct 1,400 square meters of new greenhouse space.
Construction is under way with completion scheduled for summer 2018.
