Saunders Construction Recognized for Outstanding Safety
CENTENNIAL, CO The Associated General Contractors of America (AGC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) recently recognized Saunders Construction for its industry best safety program, respectively. Both organizations honored Saunders' commitment to a safe and healthy work environment for its employees.
The AGC of Colorado presented Saunders with the National AGC Safety Award (NASA), commending the company for its participation in the award program for the last three consecutive years and achieving an incident rate 25 percent below industry average.
The NASA program evaluates a firm's safety record against firms of similar size and construction type across the country. Saunders, along with its partner Heath Construction, was among 12 recipients of this prestigious award.
"We are dedicated, as an organization, to creating a safe workplace for our employees and a safe environment for all impacted by our operations - and these recognitions mean we're on the right track," said Greg Schmidt, Saunders President. "We truly appreciate the support of all our industry partners, including AGC and OSHA, in helping us eliminate injuries and incidents."
As a dedicated member of OSHA's Construction Health and Safety Excellence (CHASE) Partnering Program, Saunders has again been granted BLUE Status within the program. Saunders has received BLUE Status for nearly a decade, and as the highest level of achievement in CHASE, this recognition not only acknowledges the company's outstanding safety record, it also elevates Saunders' participation in the program to include aspects such as cross-contractor mentoring.
