Saunders Construction, Inc., Announces Operations and Project Development Promotions
CENTENNIAL, CO Saunders Construction, Inc., announces the promotions of Tom Alford and Ryan Balakas to Vice President(s) of Operations, and Jason Kleinhelter to Director of Project Development. Alford, Balakas, and Kleinhelter have been with the company for 7, 9, and 11 years, respectively.
Alford and Balakas' responsibilities include the oversight and management of the organization's project operations, providing strategic direction and continuous improvement within the planning and execution of their work program. Within project operations, Balakas focuses on renovation, tenant improvement and in-hospital projects, while Alford leads all other commercial building services. Both succeed Taryn Edwards, who was tasked earlier this year with leading Saunders' entrance into the private-public partnership (P3) sector as Senior Vice President.
Kleinhelter serves as Saunders' Director of Project Development. He is responsible for leading the company's procurement and marketing functions, where he works with the executive leadership team, project teams, trade partners and clients to create new business and market segment opportunities. Prior to Kleinhelter's promotion, he held the position of business development manager.
"Saunders' work program has grown over the past year, presenting an opportunity for us to continually improve our core functions while also advancing several of our strategic initiatives," said Greg Schmidt, President and CEO of Saunders Construction.
The company's corporate framework remains largely unchanged, however, the new internal reporting structure does enhance the connection between senior management and project teams, promoting integration and communication regarding such things as initiatives, new business strategies, and client and employee feedback.
