Kochevar to Manage Traffic Engineering Projects at WSP | Parsons Brinkerhoff

DENVER, CO Robert Kochevar is promoted to Senior Traffic Engineer in the Denver, Colorado, office of WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff, a global engineering and professional services organization. In his new position, Kochevar will manage traffic-engineering projects throughout the state Colorado.
Kochevar comes to WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff from the Department of Public Works of the city and county of Denver, where he has worked since 1990. Most recently, he was Deputy Manager of Public Works with responsibility for leading the street maintenance, solid waste and wastewater operations groups. Previously, he was the FasTracks liaison responsible for coordinating activities between Denver and the regional transit agency, RTD, for six new FasTracks corridors and Union Station. He also served as City Traffic Engineer from 2000 to 2007, responsible for managing the agency in charge of all design, management, and policy for traffic control for the street network within the city and county. He directed the development, construction, and implementation of Denver's transportation management center to provide ITS services to the community and region.
Kochevar received a Master of Science in civil engineering from the University of Colorado and a Bachelor of Science in engineering from the University of Illinois. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Transportation Engineers, and is a registered Professional Engineer in Colorado.
