CSHQA Haag Certified Inspectors
BOISE, ID CSHQA announces that Timothy R. Higley, PMP, HCI-R/C, Ted Isbell, AIA, HCI-R/C, and James G. Murray, AIA, HCI-C have all recently passed the Haag Certified Inspector - Commercial Roof program. Higley and Isbell are also Haag Certified Inspectors - Residential certified. This training helps ensure that CSHQA's Building Forensics team will continue to provide quality architectural and engineering observation, investigation and research services for property insurance claims.
Haag Certified Inspector programs are intensive three-day certification programs combining damage assessment training with comprehensive testing. The Haag Certified Inspector - Commercial Roof program focuses on learning to assess damage to all major types of commercial (low-slope and flat) roofing systems, including inspection safety, roof area calculations, codes and industry standards, and weather characteristics.
Tim Higley is an experienced construction professional with extensive management of both commercial and residential construction projects. He has recently served as an expert witness and arbitrator in multiple property insurance claim cases. His findings focus on rendering professional opinions regarding building and occupant safety, property damage assessments, identifying the point of origin for failures, and designing efficient methods of repair or reconstruction. Higley has personally inspected more than 250 residential roofs.
Ted Isbell, Project Architect, has performed over 250 individual property insurance claim investigations of residential and commercial properties where the primary focus was assessing roof damage, but also included water infiltration, structural assessments and reconstructive recommendations.
Jim Murray, Principal, is Regional Manager for CSHQA's Denver, Colorado, office focusing on education and retail projects. Murray has collaborated with numerous school districts throughout Colorado on various BEST grant-funded projects, including more than 1 million square feet of roofing, inspected, designed and/or replaced throughout an eight-year period in Colorado and New Mexico.
