McCarthy Building Companies Promotes Corso to Vice President, Operations

PHOENIX, AZ McCarthy Building Companies Inc. promotes Mike Corso to Vice President, Operations for the company's growing Renewable Energy team within the Southwest division. He has more than two decades of construction experience.

In this new position, Corso will oversee a diverse portfolio of solar and energy related projects across the country. As Project Director for the past three years, he has been highly successful with forging true collaboration among the owner, design team and subcontractors on a variety of projects, and brings this experience to his new role.

Corso joined McCarthy in 2003 as an MEP manager where he used the skills he gained working for an electrical subcontractor to ensure McCarthy projects met the highest standards. In 2006, he was promoted and named the Southwest region's first quality director. He was promoted to Project Director in 2013 and during his tenure he established partnerships with key solar industry leaders on the Lost Hills-Blackwell Solar Project in Kern County, California; Roserock Solar Facility in Texas; Ameren Missouri's O'Fallon Renewable Energy Center and with a robust Silicon Ranch portfolio throughout the Southeast.

Corso has a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Syracuse University. He is a LEED Accredited Professional and a member of the U.S. Green Building Council.
