AP Tops Out Denver Public Schools Far Northeast Campus 28

Future students were asked to sign the beam, representing the community's involvement and investment in the project.
GREEN VALLEY RANCH, CO Adolfson & Peterson Construction (AP) recently hosted a "topping out" ceremony with Denver Public School officials and members of the local community for the PK-8 Far Northeast Campus 28 project located in Green Valley Ranch, Colorado. Prior to placing the final beam on the building, future students were asked to sign the beam, representing the community's involvement and investment in the project.
The new facility, designed by MOA Architecture, will have room for up to 950 students. With areas including music and art classrooms, science labs, gymnasium, and a kitchen and cafeteria, this two-story building will support learning from early childhood development through 8th grade.
This fast-pace, 14-month build will allow KIPP Montbello Elementary and KIPP Montbello College Prep to co-locate for the 2017-2018 school year. The 124,000-square-foot school will provide a single location for education to parents with multiple kids. The 13-acre site will bring added value to the community including a multi-purpose field, multiple play structures, painted game areas, multiple shelters and picnic tables, a baseball field, four basketball courts, three parking lots and a school garden.
The school design supports two separate school programs and administrations, and though some community spaces will be shared, the separate school programs will be able to maintain their individual identities.
