Swearingen to Lead Water Services Team in Colorado

DENVER, CO Michael D. Swearingen has been named the new Water Area Manager for the Colorado offices of WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff, a global engineering and professional services organization.

In this new role, Swearingen will lead the sales and operations of the firm's non-industrial water services team in Colorado and surrounding geographies, supporting all surface water, storm water, drainage, water/wastewater treatment and conveyance-related work in the area.

Swearingen has more than 20 years of professional experience across a large range of clients and industries related to infrastructure and civil works projects, including past work for Denver Water and the Colorado Department of Transportation. Prior to joining WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff, he was a Vice President at a global water infrastructure firm, leading projects in the industrial and infrastructure sectors. Over the last few years he has supported programs and projects related large-scale drinking water treatment and delivery, industrial waste water and reservoir support. He has extensive knowledge of management, business operations and business financial management, marketing and employee relations.

Swearingen earned a bachelor's degree in environmental science and biology from the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa, and a bachelor's degree in environmental engineering from Kennedy-Western University. He is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, Steel Tank Institute, American Petroleum Institute, International Facility Management Association and U.S. Green Building Council.
