The Missner Group Competes Phase II of Improvements at Continental Towers

DES PLAINES, IL The Missner Group announces the firm has completed Phase II of a capital improvement project at Continental Towers located at 1701 Golf Road in northwest suburban Rolling Meadows, Illinois. The property is owned by GlenStar Properties, LLC and Walton Street Capital.
Continental Towers is a 910,000-square-foot, Class A office complex comprised of three, 12-story towers and is situated on a 34-acre site. The Missner Group completed Phase I of the scheduled improvements to Continental Towers in February 2015, which included interior renovations to the complex's common areas. Phase II, which The Missner Group recently completed, encompassed significant renovations to the property's exterior.
Phase II consisted of The Missner Group constructing a new main entrance with decorative lighting, ornamental canopied entry ways to each of the three buildings with covered pick-up/drop-off areas as well as incorporating additional landscaping features. The Missner Group also cleaned and re-sealed the exterior of the buildings, added new accent LED lighting, specifically designed to illuminate large-scale structures, to the buildings' entrance facades and parapets. Phase II also included the construction of a new four-story parking garage constructed over an existing detention pond. The new garage offers parking for 735 vehicles. The Missner Group also resurfaced the existing parking lots which accommodate up to 2,550 vehicles.
The construction team for The Missner Group was led by Vice President of Construction Drue Stoehr, and Project Manager Uros Stojakovic. Gary Bertoncini served as the Project Superintendent. Archideas provided the architectural services.
