PHOENIX, AZ McCarthy Building Companies Inc. recently hired Sean Miller, MBA, LEED-AP, as Project Director for the Southwest division.

In this position, Miller will focus on developing and leading internal and external teams on healthcare construction projects to ensure a successful, integrated approach throughout all phases of the project.

Throughout his 17 years of construction work, Miller has gained extensive experience that enables him to provide value to clients starting early in the projects concept and throughout the preconstruction process. Operationally, he manages projects from start to finish including the projects preconstruction, construction and owner-occupy phases. 

"Sean has vast experience building a wide range of healthcare projects all across the country and will be an asset to our team," said Justin Dent, Vice President of Operations at McCarthy Building Companies. "He has completed continuing education courses in lean practices, last planner, pull planning and has demonstrated a drive to always improve, which fits well with the McCarthy approach to building."

Miller is currently overseeing projects with Dignity Health and Banner Health in Phoenix, Arizona.

Miller has nearly two decades of experience in construction project management. He received his Masters of Business in healthcare administration from Southern Nazarene University and his bachelor's degree in construction management technology from Oklahoma State University. He is also certified with the U.S. Green Building Council.
