Castro Hired for Raba Kistner Consultants' Freeport Operation

Houston, TX Martin Vila, P.E., F. ASCE, Senior Vice President of Raba Kistner Consultants, Inc. and Houston Regional Leader announces that the firm has hired Justin R. Castro to serve as the Construction Materials Engineering and Testing Supervisor for the company's new Freeport, Texas location. With his long-standing relationships and service to this area, Castro will enhance and expand Raba Kistner's presence in the Gulf Coast region.

 

Castro will be responsible for overseeing field and laboratory testing, sampling, and inspection services for the Freeport location, and manage all resources utilized in the analysis and solution of construction problems and preparation of testing reports.  Castro will assist the Houston-region engineers, and manage all regional materials testing personnel assigned in Freeport. Castro will also serve as the Area Manager and will be responsible for day-to-day business development activities of the operation.

Prior to joining Raba Kistner, Castro worked in the materials testing field for 12 years, and spent the last four years as a Project Manager  with a concentration in the heavy industrial sector. 

Castro is National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies, Level II certified in soils, concrete, and asphalt, and American Concrete Institution Level 1 certified. Castro also holds numerous Texas Department of Transportation Quality Assurance certifications and an Associate's Degree in business management from San Jacinto College.
