Skanska Promotes, Adds Staff as Texas Office Grows
HOUSTON, TX Skanska recently promoted and added personnel to strengthen and position the company for its growth in Texas.
Tony Destefano has been promoted to Senior Director and Human Resources Hub Leader. Cliff Haehl joined as Vice President of Business Development for Texas and Wayne Davis and John Leos have joined the Houston office as Project Executives.
Destefano joined Skanska in 2006 and during his tenure, he has played an instrumental role in strengthening the company's HR service delivery capabilities and supporting key initiatives. In Destefano's new role as Senior Director and HR Hub Leader, he will serve on the HR/communications leadership team and his geographic HR responsibility will include Texas. Destefano holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Marquette University and a master's degree in engineering management from Oklahoma State University. After graduation, he served two tours of duty in Iraq as a United States Army field artillery officer.
Haehl joined Skanska with more than 30 years of experience in the construction industry across Texas. In his new role as Vice President Of Business Development, Haehl is responsible for leading Skanska's sales strategy to secure business opportunities with new and existing clients, while reinforcing Skanska's reputation for being an industry leader. Haehl holds a bachelor's degree in corporate communications for the University of Texas at Austin.
Davis joined Skanska with more than 30 years of experience in delivering new construction and renovation projects. In his new role as Project Executive, Davis is responsible for providing management oversight on Skanska projects in the Houston area, including the Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences New Education Building in College Station, Texas. Davis attended the University of Central Texas and received a bachelor's degree in business administration and marketing.
Leos joined Skanska with more than 17 years of experience in delivering new construction and renovation projects. In his new role, Leos is responsible for providing management oversight on Skanska projects in the Houston area and will leverage his expertise to ensure projects are delivered on schedule and within budget. Lets also will work with the company's business development team to strengthen the company's market position in Houston. Leos attended the University of Texas at Austin and received a bachelor's degree in construction management from the University of Houston. He is currently completing his master's degree in sustainability and development at Southern Methodist University.
