HOUSTON, TX  Paul Lampe, Executive Vice President of Raba Kistner Consultants, Inc. announces that Erik Knudsen has been hired as a Building Envelope Consultant, serving the Houston and surrounding areas.  Knudsen will support the Raba Kistner Building Envelope group, providing building envelope observation, surveys, design, and consulting services. Knudsen is currently providing services for the Texas A&M University Kyle Field Redevelopment, as well as for Sterling High School for Houston ISD.

Knudsen brings more than 27 years of experience to the Raba Kistner team as a Project Manager, Building Envelope Professional, and Estimator. Knudsen experience includes working directly with owners, architects, general contractors, and building teams, providing quality control/quality assurance services, field inspection, and estimation services. He has managed inspection and testing services on exterior building envelope projects, including performing American Architectural Manufacturers Association and American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) water and air infiltration testing, roofing, waterproofing, curtain wall, and glazing services. 

Most recently, Knudsen worked with multiple team members to develop company quality assurance plans and procedures manual, and managed the installation of glazing on 14 buildings of a corporate campus in Houston.  He also worked to ensure the installation of glazing on these buildings was consistent with the contract documents, approved drawings, manufacturer's installation instructions, and all applicable ASTM standards.
