TOMBALL, TX  Arborleaf Engineering & Surveying, Inc. has recently promoted Jared Smith from Business Manager to Director of Finance and Operations. The company has seen continued growth year over year, and this new position allows for continued progression for both Arborleaf's clientele and employees. Smith will oversee all financial aspects of the company, as well as daily administrative operations.

Smith has a unique background upon which Arborleaf management will draw to guide strategic decisions. Smith is a CPA and MBA, with experience in the banking, alternative investments, and real estate investment industries. Smith assisted in the reporting of roughly $300 million dollars with a national alternative-investment administrator, and roughly $150 million with a real estate investment firm. As a teenager, Smith spent his summers on a land surveying crew, learning basic principles of the land development world. Naturally, this guided him to Arborleaf and back to his hometown of Houston. "I'm eager to learn as much as possible, as quickly as possible, to help the company succeed," Smith says. "I think Houston is in an interesting economic state right now, especially in regards to real estate development and construction."
