LJA Welcomes Cannon as Vice President, Director of Public Works

HOUSTON, TX - LJA announces Jeff T. Cannon, P.E., has joined the firm as Vice President, Director of Public Works. Cannon will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities and operations of the Public Works Department. Cannon will also direct client business development opportunities along with defining long-term organizational strategic goals, building key customer relationships, and identifying business opportunities.
Cannon has over 25 years of experience in the public infrastructure industry working with both public and private clients in the Greater Houston region. He has managed the design and construction of public works, water, wastewater, drainage, traffic, and paving projects, as well as site and residential developments. His expertise includes project management, detailed design, production of plans and engineering reports, specification development, and cost estimating. Cannon has served as City Engineer for several local municipalities. He also has significant experience in construction management and administration, inspection, scheduling, and field engineering. One of his larger construction management roles included serving as the Resident Engineer managing the construction of the entire West Park Tollway in Fort Bend County.
Cannon is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Texas, and a graduate of Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Central Fort Bend Chamber of Commerce and is very active in the greater Houston area serving on several political steering committees for various elected officials in Fort Bend, Montgomery, and Harris Counties.
