TLC Engineering for Architecture Expands With Returning Staff Member McClafferty

SAN ANTONIO, TX Tony Molinaro, P.E., Director of TLC Engineering for Architecture's Texas Operations announces that Michael McClafferty, CxA, LEED AP, has joined the firm's San Antonio office, returning to TLC after working for a major west coast energy firm. McClafferty's 15 prior years with TLC were in the firm's Fort Myers, Florida, office, where he was the Project Manager for numerous project types including corporate, education, hospitality and healthcare projects. McClafferty also led numerous Department of Defense projects on board Guantanamo Bay, Camp Lejeune and other federal installations.
While working in Fort Myers, he worked closely with Brett McKinstry, Chief Operation Officer, who said, "Mike is dedicated to taking great care of TLC clients, making sure that both the design and operation of their facilities meets or exceeds their expectations. I'm delighted to have him return to us and serve TLC clients in Texas, while growing our market presence there." McClafferty has been active in the Society of American Military Engineers, the AABC Commissioning Group and mentors younger staff, supporting their education of energy efficient building design and operation. McClafferty has over 20 years of experience designing, testing, and commissioning healthcare, commercial, and educational buildings in Texas, California, Florida, across the U.S. As an ACG certified commissioning Authority (CxA), McClafferty's experience also includes building controls, energy auditing, and existing building commissioning. McClafferty's hands-on, collaborative approach to leading commissioning teams has demonstrated success and results in high performing buildings for owners.
