WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff Announces Promotion and Staff Addition

AUSTIN, TX   The Austin, Texas office of WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff announces a promotion and a staff addition within the buildings sector - Ryan Bloom has been promoted to Associate and Andy Harrington, an Associate (electrical engineer), has relocated from the firm's San Francisco office to Austin.  

"We are pleased to add two new associates to our team," said Bruce Kester, Office Director for the Buildings Sector in Austin. "We have served healthcare and commercial clients in Austin since 2002 (previously as ccrd) and now with expanded technical resources we can place a greater emphasis on sustainability and high performance design."

Bloom is a Design Engineer, Commissioning Service Provider and Project Manager, responsible for design, commissioning and LEED documentation for a wide variety of projects, including data centers, hospitals and medical facilities, laboratories, class-A office space, mixed-use and multi-family developments. He has designed mechanical systems for hospitals across the country, and has provided commissioning services for such facilities as Parkland Hospital, and the University Medical Center of New Orleans. A licensed professional engineer in Texas, Bloom received a Bachelor of Science degree in architectural engineering from Kansas State University. 

Harrington brings extensive knowledge and experience to his primary role as an electrical systems engineer on projects involving commercial, government, civic, residential, and retail facilities. As a LEED AP, he strives to develop designs that emphasize sustainability and future flexibility, as well as integration of on-site generation and distributed energy resources. A licensed professional engineer in Texas and California, Harrington received Bachelor of Science degrees in architectural engineering and architecture from the University of Kansas.
