Project Control Announces the Promotion of Calabrese and Michel to Senior Project Manager
SAN ANTONIO, TX Project Control announces that Jim Michel has been promoted to Senior Project Manager. Michel is currently serving as full-time, on-site Project Manager for the Witte Museum project.
Michel came to Project Control with over 30 years of experience in project management. His previous work includes projects with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, specifically medical research facilities and historic renovations at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio. Michel also established and operated a construction company for 10 years, overseeing construction operations and assisting clients and architects with budgeting and construction management.
Michel holds a Bachelor of Science in building construction from Texas A&M University and an Master of Business Administration from the University of Texas at San Antonio.
Project Control also announces that Anthony Calabrese is being promoted to Senior Project Manager. Since joining the firm in 2007, Calabrese has worked on some of their largest private projects including the Tesoro Headquarters campus and Frost Bank Westover Hills campus.
In addition to corporate projects, Calabrese has served as Project Manager on projects for Methodist Healthcare Ministries, Texas Lutheran University, NuStar Energy, and the Texas Biomedical Research Institute, among others. Prior to working with Project Control, he was enlisted for six years as a US Navy Seabee serving three tours in Iraq and providing emergency relief services to the Gulf Coast following Hurricane Katrina.
Calabrese holds both an Master of Business Administration and an Master of Public Administration, is a certified Project Management Professional and LEED AP.
