HOUSTON, TX Global design firm DLR Group has been eyeing the Lone Star state for over a decade. The firm officially opened the doors to its first Texas office. The office is located at 919 Milam in downtown Houston. Houston architect Filo Castore, AIA, LEED AP, will lead office operations and oversee project delivery and business development. Key sectors the firm will pursue in Texas include civic, education, hospitality, and workplace.

The office location is unique because it occupies a corner, ground floor space with storefront window walls on two sides, providing clear views in and out. This intentional transparency is intended to draw people into the office. There is a free co-working space and fully stocked amenity lounge. Work from up-and-coming Texas artists will be on display in the windows and rotated quarterly. Houston graffiti artist Gonzo247 completed a permanent custom piece inside the office.

Other DLR Group Houston staff includes:

Chris Royster, AIA (Project Manager and Senior Associate)

Jason Drews, AIA, LEED AP BD+C (Project Architect)

Autumn Gloetzner (Interior Designer)

Kate Miller (Business Development Leader, K-12 education) Nationally, DLR Group is celebrating its 50-year anniversary this year.
