Texas Utility Engineering Adds Lara, Duncan and Shafer to the Firm

SAN ANTONIO, TX Texas Utility Engineering (TXUE) announces that Cruz Lara, Laura Duncan, and Katherine Shafer have joined the firm.Â
Lara, is a Project Engineer with TXUE and is responsible for subdivision engineering planning and design. Prior to his employment with TXUE, Lara worked as an Engineering Distribution Specialist II for clients such as AEP, CoServ and TNMP. Lara graduated with a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from St. Mary's University in 2010.
Duncan is a Senior Engineering Planner with TXUE and is responsible for overhead utility planning and design. Duncan has more than five years of experience working in ArcMap and is a graduate of Tomball College where she earned an Associate of Science in engineering technology, computer electronics.Â
Shafer is a Senior Engineering Planner with TXUE and is responsible for distribution design projects for CPS and other electric utilities. Shafer was previously employed as a Project Coordinator and has experience with line design, easement acquisition and processing, RUS 219 inspection planning, project coordination with military projects, submittals of yearly reports pertaining to redeterminations, and capital upgrade planning. Shafer also has experience with special projects to include land acquisition for substations, legal research, pre-design and planning, and pole line inspections. Shafer is a graduate of Sul Ross State University and The University of Texas Pan American-Edinburg.
