Ryan Joins LJA's Austin Public Infrastructure Division as Project Manager

AUSTIN, TX Zachary Ryan, PE, CFM, joins LJA Engineering Inc.'s Austin Public Infrastructure Division as a Project Manager. Ryan brings more than 11 years of experience working in the transportation industry, providing roadway and highway design for TxDOT, as well as county and city municipalities within central Texas and throughout the State. He has design and project management experience on a variety of highway projects that have involved grade separations, on/off ramps, divided roadways, and urban streets. His design experience includes horizontal and vertical alignments, traffic control phasing, retaining walls, signing and pavement markings. Additionally, Ryan is well versed in hydrologic and hydraulic analysis and design, floodplain analysis, storm sewer design, culvert design, bridge hydraulics, scour analysis, detention, and water quality BMP design.
Since joining LJA, Ryan has been working on the North Mays Extension (Williamson County), Weiss Lane Reconstruction (City of Pflugerville), and the IH-40 Reconstruction (TxDOT Amarillo District) projects. In his new role with LJA, Ryan will be leading projects, pursuing new opportunities, and mentoring and training the younger engineers and designers on staff.
Ryan is a licensed professional engineer in the state of Texas, and is a certified floodplain manager. He is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, earning a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering, and is a member of the Texas Floodplain Management Association.
