AUSTIN, TX Planning, engineering and program management firm Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam, Inc. (LAN) announces that it is expanding its services in the Central Texas region with the addition of facility design architecture/engineering services.

With this addition, LAN will offer facility design, program management, and construction management services to state, municipal, federal, and educational clients in the region. To lead this effort, the firm hired Ted Armstrong, a national facility design expert, as a Senior Project Manager and Facility Project Director for the central region.

Armstrong has nearly three decades of experience providing project management, design, programming, master planning, strategic and facility planning services. He has served numerous large U.S. government agencies and corporations such as the Department of Defense (DOD), Internal Revenue Service, General Services Administration, Army National Guard, Air National Guard, Veterans Administration, American Airlines, Hyatt Regency, Scott & White Healthcare Systems, and many city municipalities across the country. Previously, he served Jacobs ZATE Engineering as a program director for "turn-key" design/build projects in the Middle East.

Armstrong received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from Texas Tech University. A registered architect in Texas and Arizona, his work over his career has been recognized with seven DOD merit awards. He is an active member of the American Institute of Architects and the Society of American Military Engineers.
