Crain Joins Halff as Subsurface Utility Engineering Practice Leader
RICHARDSON, TX Halff Associates, Inc. (Halff), one of the top leading engineering/architecture consulting firms, announces that Michael Crain, PE, joins Halff. Crain brings nearly 17 years of experience in subsurface utility engineering (SUE), utility coordination (UC), and management for a wide range of transportation and major utility infrastructure projects. Most recently, Crain served as the SUE/UC Operations Manager for a major regional consulting firm. He joins Halff as the SUE Practice Leader with the goal of helping maintain and expand the firm's SUE/UC client base in the southwest region.
Crain has extensive experience working with state DOT's in Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana for large- and small-scale transportation projects, as well as municipalities, electric providers, and oil & gas companies. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in 13 states, including Texas, where he is pre-certified in numerous Texas Department of Transportation categories.
Crain earned his bachelor's degrees in civil engineering and architecture from Texas Tech University and is a member of several professional and industry-related associations, including the Texas Society of Professional Engineers (TSPE).
