HNTB Hosts Open House at New Office in Downtown Houston

HOUSTON, TX HNTB hosted an open house and reception at its new location in downtown Houston, Texas. The office is located on the 18th floor at 1301 Fannin Street and sits in the heart of the downtown business district, offering great views of the city. 

HNTB Central Division President Tom Ellis joined Mike Voinis, Houston office leader, in welcoming approximately 120 guests to the new office.

Among the guests were Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner; city councilmembers Larry Green and Mike Knox; Houston METRO President and CEO Tom Lambert; TxDOT District Engineer Quincy Allen; HCTRA Deputy Director and METRO board member Lisa Castaneda and Assistant Director of Maintenance and Traffic Engineering Quinton Alberto. 

Mayor Turner provided comments to the audience and thanked HNTB for its commitment and contributions to the continued revitalization of downtown Houston. He also presented Ellis and Voinis with a proclamation, declaring Jan. 5, as HNTB Corporation Day in Houston.

HNTB opened its first office in Houston in 1979 when it began working on the Jesse H. Jones Memorial bridge over the Houston Ship Channel. Since then, the firm has worked on significant infrastructure projects throughout the region, including the overhaul of Hardy Toll Road, Port of Houston Asset Management Program and U.S. 290 Program Management.
