Marek Joins KCI as Project Manager for Texas Utilities

IRVING, TX KCI Technologies Inc. hires Joseph L. Marek to the firm as Project Manager for utility services. His focus will be on expanding KCI's subsurface utility engineering (SUE) and utility coordination services throughout central Texas.
Marek's career spans 23 years of managing telecom engineering and SUE projects. Prior to joining KCI, he worked on a variety of projects involving quality level A and B utility locating and identification, as well as utility coordination with multiple utilities owners for major urban and rural roadway and highway improvements throughout the state of Texas. His expertise includes mapping, drafting, inside and outside plant design, fiber-optic layout and splicing documentation, utility relocation coordination, conflict analysis, construction permitting, and route engineering.
"With his lengthy career, Joe brings to KCI a strong depth of knowledge in subsurface utility engineering," said Vice President and Regional Practice Leader D. Scott Stockburger, PE. "He will be a great resource for existing and future clients as he leverages his extensive experience to expand our service offerings throughout the state of Texas."
Marek earned his bachelor's degree in mass communications from the Texas State University. He has been active in many professional organizations, serving on a number of boards of directors and committees. Currently, he is a member of the Society of Cable Television Engineers, the Society of American Military Engineers, the Texas Society of Professional Engineers and the American Society of Civil Engineers.
