Carter and Helms Join Turner Industries Group, LLC

BATON ROUGE, LA Russell Carter joins Turner Industries Group, LLC in Business Development for industrial maintenance services in the greater Houston, Texas, region after a 15-year career in sourcing and procurement. Lillian T. Helms is also joining Turner Industries Group, LLC assuming the responsibilities of Business Development representative for the Corpus Christi/South Texas area.

Prior to joining Turner, Carter managed the procurement of skilled craft and plant maintenance services for industrial plants across North America. He is a certified professional in supply management (CPSM) and a certified purchasing manager (CPM) through the Institute for Supply Management. 

Carter also brings with him a decade of community service and non-profit leadership to the Houston region.  As President of Baton Rouge, Louisiana's, Forum 35, he served on numerous community committees and boards, and is certified in non-profit association management through the John W. Barton, Sr. Community Leadership Development Program. Carter is looking forward to continuing his experiences in community development in the Houston region.

Helms has more than 24 years of progressive sales and business development experience, much of which has been in the downstream oil and petrochemical industry. A graduate of the University of Houston, Helms attended Our Lady of The Lake for her masters studies. 

Most recently, Helms was a Business Development/Account Manager with the Industrial Construction Division for Dynamic Industries where she was responsible for business-to-business development for major construction projects and maintenance services to plants, refineries, and offshore platforms along the Texas Gulf Coast, North Texas, Louisiana, Alabama, and Oklahoma. 

Helms will be responsible for opening new business opportunities for Turner Industries in the Corpus Christi and surrounding market areas.
