RICHARDSON, TX  Hill & Wilkinson General Contractors announces that Matt Shem has been promoted to Vice President Division Manager of Special Projects.  Shem will oversee all division operations including business development, client relationships, scheduling, budgeting and his team's performance.

"It's been a pleasure to watch Matt grow throughout his time at Hill & Wilkinson and become the leader of one of our divisions," said Paul Driscoll, CEO of Hill & Wilkinson. "He has overseen tremendous growth of the division to reach the largest volume in its history."

The Special Projects division was created in 2015 to meet increasing demand from clients who need teams that can work quickly and efficiently on challenging and unique projects.  The division works with a wide range of budgets and complexities and serves over half a dozen industries from food and beverage to institutional.

Shem has been with Hill & Wilkinson for 11 years and is a graduate of Northern Michigan University with a degree in Construction Management.  He previously held the project manager and group manager roles in Special Projects and started with Hill & Wilkinson as a project engineer.  His portfolio of projects includes Simpson Strong-Tie, the Texas Tech University Research & Technology Park in Lubbock, Texas, the Garland, Texas, Analytical Chemistry Laboratory Building, Encore Wire's corporate headquarters in McKinney, Texas, the White Wave Foods beverage manufacturing facility in Dallas, Texas, and the First United Methodist Church renovation and expansion in Dallas.
