New Engineer Named for TxDOT Office
ATLANTA, TX William H. "Bill" Compton has been named the new Area Engineer for the Texas Department of Transportation office in Mount Pleasant, Texas.
The office is responsible for state highway maintenance and construction in Camp, Morris, Titus and Upshur counties.
"He succeeds Roger Ledbetter, who retired from the department in December after 31 years of service," said Glenn Green, District Engineer for TxDOT in Atlanta, Texas.
Compton has worked in the transportation engineering design and construction industry for over 19 years. After graduating from Lamar University with a bachelor's degree in civil engineering in 1997, he began his full-time TxDOT career as an Engineering Assistant in the Dallas District.
He worked in the Dallas District for 11 years, concluding his tenure as a Special Project Manager.
Compton spent the past nine years at Lamb-Star Engineering working on projects with TxDOT, North Texas Tollway Authority, Dallas Area Rapid Transit, Oklahoma DOT, and Kansas DOT.
