MYCON General Contractors Celebrates 30 Years of Building Success in North Texas
DALLAS, TX MYCON General Contractors has completed its relocation to its newly renovated headquarters in Dallas, Texas, as it celebrates its 30th anniversary of doing business in Texas' highly competitive construction industry, according to Charles R. Myers, MYCON's CEO.
The company's new headquarters is located on a 1.9-acre tract at 17311 Dallas Parkway in a 1979 building that has been completely re-skinned, renovated and reinvigorated by MYCON's project team with a modern interior design, energy-efficient HVAC systems and new technologies to accommodate the company's current and future needs.
"We selected this particular building because of its location, existing tenant mix, sizeable land footprint, and its proximity to our existing and future employees and clients," said Myers. "We invested heavily in this retrofit to showcase our construction capabilities and to enhance our brand while improving the built environment in our community," continued Myers.
Myers noted that retrofits of this type represent both challenges and rewards for investors and developers in the broader marketplace. This project was successful due to the company's construction expertise, its relationships with financiers and architects, and its relationship with city and county representatives and residents in promoting economic development.
MYCON acquired the 50,205-square-foot building in 2015 and completed renovations in March 2017. O'Brien Architects of Dallas, Texas, provided architectural services.
