Wong To Lead Structural/Bridge Engineering In Texas For WSP USA

HOUSTON, TX Wilson Wong, PE, is named the Texas Structural/Bridge Engineering Manager at WSP USA.

In his new position, Wong will oversee and manage the firm's structural/bridge groups, personnel and resources in Houston, Dallas and Austin, Texas, providing support to the firm's engineers and ensuring quality delivery to clients. Based in the Houston, Texas, office, he will be responsible for contributing to the growth of the firm's transportation practice in Texas, including participating in new business development. 

Wong has more than 19 years of experience in project management, communication and budgeting, with an emphasis on transportation projects, civil and structural/bridge designs. Prior to joining WSP, he served as the interim office manager/structural department manager for a transportation engineering consulting firm in Texas. In addition to managing day-to-day operations, he served as lead engineer on all structural/bridge work and as project manager for numerous bridge projects. 

A licensed professional engineer in Texas, Wong earned a master's degree in structural engineering and a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the University of Texas, Austin. Among his professional affiliations, he is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and American Society of Highway Engineers.
