Pape-Dawson Engineers, Inc. Welcomes New Practice Leader of Transportation Construction Services

AUSTIN, TX Pape-Dawson Engineers, Inc. announces Howard Lyons, PE, as a new Practice Leader of Transportation Construction Services in Pape-Dawson's Austin, Texas office. Lyons will serve as a key leader helping to promote and manage Pape-Dawson Engineers' transportation services in Austin and the I-35 corridor.
Lyons has 26 years of engineering experience in the transportation engineering industry specializing in construction oversight, administration, and management. His previous assignments include serving as the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) Burnet Area Engineer in the Austin District, the Statewide Unified Transportation Program Development Engineer for TxDOT at the Transportation Planning and Programming Division, and most recently as the TxDOT Director of Transportation Operations in the Amarillo and Lufkin Districts.
"Howard is an important addition to our transportation team as well as to the firm," Pape-Dawson Engineers' Senior Vice President, Gilmer Gaston, PE, PTOE, said. "With his extensive and varied background in transportation and construction engineering inspection, he will provide valuable leadership from project initiation through construction completion."
Lyons holds a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from Texas A&M University. He is a registered Professional Engineer in the state of Texas.
