BLOOMINGTON, IL Birkey's, central Illinois' Case IH Agriculture and Case Construction Equipment Dealership played host to their customers and families at a series of Open Houses this spring at their construction equipment stores in Bloomington, Urbana and Mattoon, as well as most of their agriculture locations.
Birkey's Mike Hedge, President and CEO, as well as a great number of employees were on hand to greet the hundreds of attendees, thank them for coming, make sure they all enjoyed the hospitality of an excellent lunch with all of the trimmings, and show them around the stores. "Customer Appreciation Days give us a great way just to say thanks," said Bloomington Store Manager Dusty Foster. "It's also a great way to get them in and let them see the equipment that we offer." Many of Birkey's construction and agricultural products were on display at the Open Houses. Everything from Case's complete line of construction equipment from skid steers to wheel loaders and excavators to their agriculture equipment from tractors to combines to planters. Representatives from these Case lines and the other manufacturers Birkey's represents were also on hand to answer questions and explain the latest innovations and offer their expertise.
In addition to the equipment on display during the open houses, these events coincided with Birkey's Parts Days 2017. Birkey's was offering substantial savings on many of their parts, filters and other pieces of equipment, as well as special financing and an offer of an extended discount where buyers would have the freedom to save money on parts purchases for three extra months. Offers like these proved to be just as enticing as the delicious food that was being served.
Over sixty years ago, Birkey's Farm Store began with a very simple seedthe mechanical ability of a couple of farm boys, and their desire to fix things. This is the humble beginning that set Birkey's on its course, growing from one small shop in Fisher to 18 stores and more than 400 employees throughout Central Illinois and Indiana. And with Customer Appreciation Open Houses like these, it is obvious how much Birkey's cares for their customers and their success.
