HNTB Names Dippel South and Central Texas Office Leader
AUSTIN, TX Michelle Dippel, RPA, has been named South and Central Texas Office Leader and Vice President for HNTB Corporation. Dippel oversees 160 infrastructure professionals and is responsible for the firm's operations in Austin, San Antonio, El Paso, Corpus Christi, Harlingen and Round Rock, Texas. She provides leadership in strategic planning, developing strong client relationships and supporting major project pursuits and delivery. Dippel is based in Austin, Texas.
She returns to HNTB after serving as Manager for Environmental Planning in South and Central Texas from 2005-2008 and Deputy Office Leader for the firm's operations in Austin and San Antonio from 2009-2014. Prior to rejoining HNTB, Dippel worked for another firm as National Director of Transportation Environmental Services.
Throughout the past 18 years, Dippel has been a part of large-scale infrastructure projects across the State of Texas. This includes serving as deputy program manager for the Texas General Land Office Disaster Recovery Program following Hurricanes Ike and Dolly; environmental project manager of several managed lane projects for the Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority; and environmental task lead for Dallas Area Rapid Transit's D2 light rail project in downtown Dallas.
Dippel is an active member of the National Association of Environmental Professionals, Transportation Research Board and Women's Transportation Seminar. She earned both master's and bachelor's degrees in archaeology from the University of Texas.
