Moss Joins The Chapman Firm as Associate

AUSTIN, TX The Chapman Firm announces that Rebecca Moss has joined the firm as an Associate. Moss joins the firm after having practiced construction law for the past five years. Before joining the construction bar, she worked in governmental affairs. Her experience in government and her representation of public owners, private owners, and contractors in transactional, administrative, disputes, and litigation adds to the Firm's strengths and experience in our construction law practice.Â
Rebecca Moss's practice focuses on representing contractors, owners and developers in transactional and litigation matters arising out of construction projects, including design and construction contract preparation and negotiation, contract administration, risk-evaluation and assessment, prevention and resolution of construction-related claims, guidance through the lien and bond process, project close-out, and dispute resolution.
Prior to focusing on construction law, Moss was a project finance attorney where she worked on complex transactions that required new construction and involved both private and public funds. Through this work she learned the importance of having acute contracts governing the design, engineering and construction of the project and mechanisms to effectively and efficiently resolve disputes. She has also worked as a government affairs consultant for Texas-based companies where she provided key information and analysis regarding the effects of state and federal proposals on business operations.
With her diverse experience in construction, finance, and legislative and regulatory affairs, Moss helps her clients succeed in their business endeavors while managing and planning for contingencies that arise.
