The TWDB Approves Amendments to Intended Use Plans Making $90M Available for Disaster Recovery

AUSTIN, TX The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) approves amendments to the State Fiscal Year 2018 State Revolving Funds Intended Use Plans making $90 million in financial assistance available for disaster recovery. The approval will enable the TWDB to provide immediate funding options to communities impacted by Hurricane Harvey.Â
The changes will make available $12 million in principal forgiveness and $78 million in zero-interest loans through the Clean and Drinking Water State Revolving Funds for emergency relief and urgent needs projects. A total of 20 percent of the zero-interest loans and 50 percent of the principal forgiveness will be reserved for disadvantaged, small, and rural communities.Â
Water supply facilities that suffered damage from flood or other catastrophic events are eligible for funding through the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund. Projects eligible for financial assistance through the Clean Water State Revolving Fund include wastewater and stormwater management facilities.Â
To apply for assistance, please visit the TWDB website and complete and submit a Project Information Form.Â
