Mustang Cat Awards BPC, LP a Houston Texans Cat® Machine
HOUSTON, TX Mustang Cat presented Jerry Hicks of BPC, LP with a new 2017 Cat 249D compact track loader featuring Houston Texans graphics. Hicks won the machine as the prize in the Mustang Cat Houston Texans Upgrade Promotion.
The social media-based promotion, which launched in October, encouraged business owners in the area to register to win the new Cat machine as an upgrade to their existing unit. Entrants had an existing skid steer, compact track, or multi-terrain loader, and submitted a photo of their piece of equipment along with a statement to support their selection in the contest.
"We have been partners with the Houston Texans for several years and wanted to do something different to showcase our sponsorship," said Scott Bowen, Director of Marketing for Mustang Cat. "Creating a one-of-a-kind Houston Texans machine and promoting the contest through social media spread the word quickly."
Numerous entries were received, and Mustang Cat selected three finalists based on the condition and age of the machine entrants submitted for the promotion. The three finalists were shared with social media viewers, who reviewed the photos and submitted online votes to determine the winner. Jerry Hicks of BPC, LP was selected as the winner by a large majority. The company's existing compact track loader was lost due to flooding from Hurricane Harvey. BPC is based in Cypress, Texas, a suburb Northwest of downtown Houston, Texas, and specializes in earthwork, site utilities, plumbing, and concrete.
When presented with the new machine, Jerry Hicks said, "I've never won anything before! It is an honor to be given this Houston Texans machine displaying HOUSTON STRONG. Our business is proud to show our support for Houston - thank you."
