Shoura Joins Stantec's Houston Office as Program Manager

HOUSTON, TX Max Shoura, PE, PSP, CCM, has joined Stantec as a Program Manager in the firm's Jefferson Street office in Houston, Texas. Shoura brings 35 years of experience providing program and construction management services for a variety of projects within the infrastructure industry. He is a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Arizona, Hawaii, Nevada, and Utah; a Planning and Scheduling Professional (PSP); and a Certified Construction Manager (CCM).

A thought leader in program management, Shoura has given seminars internationally on alternate delivery, cost systems, bidder selection, and profitability. He has also authored more than 30 peer-reviewed technical articles and contributed to multiple professional association journals across the world. His extensive technical knowledge coupled with his project management and leadership skills will enhance Stantec's airport services in the firm's South Central region. 

Shoura earned his Master of Science in civil engineering at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. His background includes a concentration in the aviation sector, specializing in project planning and controls, contract negotiations, and resource management. He is an active member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and AACE International, where he has served in several capacities, including Utah director, Arizona section president, Arizona section certification chair, and AACE delegate to the Hawaii Council of Engineering Societies.
