Tackett Announced As New Senior Vice President Of Water Resources
SAN ANTONIO, TX Pape-Dawson Engineers, Inc. announces Cara Tackett, PE, LEED AP, Senior Vice President, as the new leader of Pape-Dawson's Water Resources team.
Tackett joined Pape-Dawson in 1999 and has 21 years of experience in Civil Engineering and Environmental services. During her career at Pape-Dawson, she has been an integral part of many successful projects, such as the JW Marriot Resort and TPC San Antonio, Hyatt Hill Country Resort and Spa, the Cibolo Canyons master-planned community, the Witte Museum, the San Antonio Zoo, and the University of Texas at San Antonio.
Tackett currently serves as the 2017-2018 Chair of Professional Engineers in Private Practice and the 2018 President Elect for the Real Estate Council of San Antonio. She is a former member of the Executive Leadership Team for the American Heart Association Go Red for Women. She is also a graduate of Leadership San Antonio Class of 37 and former participant in the North San Antonio Chamber of Commerce's Leadership Lab Program. Ms. Tackett is an active member in several professional organizations, including the National Society of Professional Engineers and the American Society of Civil Engineers.

Tackett earned a Bachelor of Arts in biology from the University of Texas at Austin in 1992, and a Master of Science in civil engineering from Colorado State University in 1996. She is a registered professional engineer in the state of Texas and is Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design certified.
