Horne Joins HNTB in Austin as Group Director

AUSTIN, TX Kammy Horne, AICP, joins HNTB Corporation as Group Director and Vice President, based in the firm's Austin, Texas, office. In this role, Horne will oversee a variety of departments and staff, and help develop and maintain client relationships. 

Horne has 25 years of transportation experience in project planning, development and implementation as well as expertise related to NEPA. She has been an integral part of delivering major projects across the country, including Austin, Washington D.C., Salt Lake City, Utah, and Phoenix, Arizona.

"Kammy is a tremendous addition to our growing base of talent in Austin," said Michelle Dippel, HNTB Central and South Texas Office Leader and Vice President. "Her in-depth knowledge of the transportation industry, and experience in major project planning and delivery, will enhance our ability to serve clients throughout the region."

Prior to joining HNTB, Horne served as a transportation regional business manager for another consulting firm. 

She is actively involved in a variety of industry associations, including the American Public Transportation Association where she serves as the co-chair of the Environmental Subcommittee for the Planning, Policy, and Program Development Committee and on the Leadership APTA Committee. Horne also is an active member of Women's Transportation Seminar, and is currently actively involved in roles with the Metropolitan Phoenix and Heart of Texas chapters. 

Horne earned a Master of Science in Community and Regional Planning from the University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from Long Island University in Southampton, New York.
