Ayres Hires Leaders in Engineering Services and Wastewater, Promotes Aerial Mapping and Land Surveying Managers
WAUKESHA, WI Michael Payant, P.E., joins Ayres Associates as Manager of Engineering Services in the Waukesha, Wisconsin, office. Steve Reusser, P.E., joins as Senior Process Engineer in the Eau Claire, Wisconsin, office. Jason Krueger, C.P., is promoted to Manager of Ayres Associates' Aerial Mapping Group in the Madison, Wisconsin, office. And, Jason Ingram, P.L.S., is promoted to Manager of Ayres Associates' Land Survey Group in the Green Bay, Wisconsin, office.
Payant brings extensive experience in civil engineering for local governments and residential and commercial development. He will be responsible for developing relationships with southeast Wisconsin clients. Payant is active in many area organizations and supports Ayres Associates' expanded involvement in those professional and community groups.
Among the areas of expertise Payant offers clients are utility and roadway design and analysis, site development, capital planning, and infrastructure management.
Payant holds a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from Marquette University. He is a registered Professional Engineer in Wisconsin.
Reusser brings many years of experience in wastewater and water engineering and plant operation and management, most recently with the Madison Metropolitan Sewerage District. Reusser has been responsible for process control and programming, as well as operation supervision at Madison's wastewater treatment plant, serving the Madison metropolitan area and surrounding communities. He has participated in planning, design, and startup for multiple facility upgrades at MMSD as well as water and wastewater facility projects for small communities and tribal entities. In Ayres' Eau Claire office, he will provide water and wastewater treatment design services as well as operational assistance to communities throughout the Midwest.
Reusser is a frequent speaker at technical conferences, sharing his cutting-edge knowledge of new technology. He has participated in many research studies with the University of Wisconsin-Madison, including fine bubble diffuser oxygen transfer efficiency, activated sludge nitrification/denitrification, clarifier performance, biological phosphorous removal, digester performance with the addition of whey, the use of ferric chloride to control struvite production in anaerobic digesters, comparison of anaerobic digestion processes, struvite formation and mitigation strategies, digester foaming mitigation strategies, and piloting low-level nitrogen and phosphorous discharge treatment strategies.
Educated at Oklahoma State University, Reusser holds a master's degree in bioenvironmental engineering and a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering. He is a registered Professional Engineer in Wisconsin and is a Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources Advanced Certified Wastewater Operator. Reusser's commitment to the industry is evident in his memberships in the Wisconsin Wastewater Operators' Association (WWOA), the Water Environment Federation (WEF)/Central States Water Environment Association (CSWEA), and he is a past participant and chairman for several committees of WWOA, CSWEA, and WEF.
Krueger brings 18 years of experience in the fields of mapping and remote sensing. He has worked both as a Technician and as a Project Manager for a broad range of mapping and land information services, and his experience includes work in the public and private sectors. His specialties include LiDAR and photogrammetry project design, flight planning, and customized spatial data services.
Krueger is based in Ayres' Terrace Drive office in Madison. Known for providing proactive, attentive service to clients and extra effort whenever a project demands it, Krueger has been a key part of the aerial mapping group's growth over the years. Krueger is a certified photogrammetrist and a certified geographic information systems professional. He holds a Bachelor of Science in geography from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.
Ingram joined Ayres in 1999, bringing surveying experience in locating, recovering, and setting property corners and section corners using real-time GPS. His responsibilities at Ayres have included leading survey crews for construction and design surveying on highway and bridge projects. Ingram is based in Ayres' Green Bay area office. He has been instrumental in the success of the land survey group and the reliability of its work for Ayres Associates' survey clients.
Ingram is registered as a Professional Land Surveyor in Wisconsin, Michigan, Minnesota, Iowa, and Utah, and he is a Professional Surveyor and Mapper in Florida. He holds a Bachelor of Science in land surveying from the Michigan Technological University. Ingram's commitment to the industry is demonstrated in his membership in the National Society of Professional Engineers and the Wisconsin Society of Land Surveyors.
