Aspen Equipment Hosts Students for Manufacturing Day 2016

Students from Bloomington High Schools pose with a Serco loader truck with the new non-mechanical Aspen Drive System, which includes an easy to use radio remote control and students learned about building and operating. Bloomington High School alumni built the truck.
BLOOMINTON, MN Aspen Equipment participated in Manufacturing DaySM which is a celebration of modern manufacturing meant to inspire the next generation of manufacturers. At this year's event, students visited Bloomington, Minnesota, -based Aspen Equipment Co. to learn about careers in manufacturing. Students were able try welding via a simulator provided by Hennepin Technical College and operate several types of heavy equipment including a municipal snow plow truck, Auto Crane service body and the new Aspen Contractor Body.
Students enjoyed operating heavy equipment with a wireless remote control and learned about education, salary and career opportunities of modern manufacturing companies such as Aspen Equipment.
