Novak Construction Completes Portillo's Restaurant in Woodbury - Celebrating the Golden Milestone in the Twin Cities

WOODBURY, MN Located at 8450 Hudson Road, this new 9,000-square-foot Portillo's opened with a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by Dick Portillo and Woodbury Mayor Mary Guiliani Stephens to celebrate Portillo's 50th location and the first in Minnesota.
This 2.8-acre site included protecting and preserving a wetland area, all new site utilities, asphalt paving, and full site improvements. This new Portillo's is a CMU structure with full brick exterior, architectural steel elements and a theme that highlights a 1920s Prohibition-era that will include photos of Chicago-based gangsters, such as Al Capone and a vintage truck suspended from the ceiling. It will offer more than 200 seats, a patio that is full timber construction with a standing seam roof and double drive-through lanes. Novak's Restaurant Division VP and Portillo's Project Director, Dan Moriarity, said, "We are honored to be part of this exciting golden milestone for Portillo's."
In addition to Moriarity, Novak Construction was represented by project team members, Superintendent Joe Kole and Project Engineer Maddie Novak.
This is Novak's 5th successful on-time completion for Portillo's and construction is currently underway on two other Novak Construction-Portillo's projects: Normal, Illinois and Fishers, Indiana.
