Learn About Creating A Culture of Success at ICR's Annual Conference
INDIANAPOLIS, IN The Indiana Construction Roundtable hosts its 6th Annual Conference in Indianapolis, Indiana. This event gathers leaders throughout Indiana from the construction industry to discuss the challenges facing the state's construction industry. Those who attend are sure to leave with a renewed sense of pride in their industry and ideas for improving operations in the coming year. The topic for this year's conference is, "A Culture of Success."
Culture is objectively defined as a way of thinking, behaving, or working that exists in a place or organization. Many factors impact and form culture, and while the objective definition will always be the same, how we realize it and measure it in our everyday corporate operations is constantly evolving.
Within the construction industry we always push ourselves to run the highest quality project possible. Every day, we strive to not only meet the accomplishments and standards of the past, but also to surpass the legacies left by our predecessors, and build better tomorrows. Corporate cultures that properly define success for their members possess vision, commitment, consistent leadership, and a clear implementation strategy beginning at the top and working its way down through every tier of operations.
Developing a corporate culture that employees feel invested in drives retention and internal workforce development. It is almost always easier and more fiscally reasonable to promote someone from within when new positions open up. In order to accomplish this, the best and the brightest have to be hired, developed, mentored, and consistently feel they are part of something bigger than a specific task or role.
The keynote speaker for this year's event will be Kevin Sheridan, bestselling author of "Building a Magnetic Culture." Sheridan is an Internationally-recognized Key-Note Speaker, a New York Times Best Selling Author, and one of the most sought-after voices in the world on the topic of Employee Engagement. He spent thirty years as a high-level Human Capital Management consultant, helping some of the world's largest corporations break down detrimental processes and rebuild a culture that fosters productive engagement, earning him several distinctive awards and honors in the process. Sheridan's premier creation, PEER®, has been consistently recognized as a long-overdue, industry-changing innovation in the field of Employee Engagement.
